Professional Highlights

Project Manager

Bridges Unite
Remote, US

I am more than excited (elated?) to be entering into the experiential marketing industry. Marketing is the hardest job that appears to be so easy by those who don’t know the ins-and-outs - I’m learning fast!

GREATEST SUCCESSES

  • Successes under construction …

NOTABLE CHALLENGES

Project Contractor

MK Analytics, LLC
Remote, US

I was offered an contract by the team at MKA to assist their project in aggregating disparate data for a client. I would be able to learn some valuable AI skills while on the job, so I couldn’t pass-up this opportunity.

GREATEST SUCCESSES

  • Discovered invaluable skills in the use of several types of AI platforms such as DocumentAI, ChatGPT, and Claude.

  • Developed beginner knowledge of Python.

  • Witnessed the inner-workings of counsel in the discovery phase of litigation. Had the opportunity to assist in drafting legal documents such as Methodology and Motions for Continuance.

  • Worked with a cross-functional team to deliver “one of the most complex outcomes of data analytics”.

NOTABLE CHALLENGES

  • With little knowledge of coding languages, diving into a project that heavily relied on Python was a challenge. Having hands-on experience with the language, and my own curiosity, I was able to pick-up a beginner’s level knowledge of the language which helped push the project forward on a few occasions.

  • The requirements for accuracy were difficult given the data presented for analysis. With a few iterations of quality assurance applications, not only was the team able to deliver on these requirements, but developed robust “Checking” systems for future projects.

  • Utilizing Google’s DocumentAI while it was in Beta proved to push the boundaries of the abilities of data analytics. Discovering the potential employment for the desired outcome allowed the whole team and deep-dive into how AI can help industries progress.

Operations Manager

HQ Fulfillment Logistics, LLC
Denver, CO

I came in as a founding member of HQ Fulfillment. This meant that I had the opportunity to influence how the company would run and its ability to scale. My main goal was to develop the foundation of operations so that, even if I were to step away, the company would be easily run going forward.

GREATEST SUCCESSES

  • Developed SOPs for the WMS the company licensed, security protocols, and onboarding protocols.

  • Developed HR systems including the Employee Handbook, the onboarding process, and the company reporting structure.

  • Spearheaded all client and employee onboardings and off-boardings. This included all duties compliant to Federal and State law.

  • Worked directly with warehouse staff to optimize efficiency by 50% and increase fulfillment accuracy by 80%.

  • Developed advanced billing platforms which increased billing accuracy by 20%.

NOTABLE CHALLENGES

  • Worked alongside warehouse team and new client to re-structure a more than 10-year-old business in the hopes of improving scalability and profits on both ends. Over the eight-month period, we improved efficacy of SKU system, overall inventory clarity, and by proxy, the client’s purchasing habits.

  • Brought on a high-volume client, a transplant from another 3PL. Worked on re-organizing and re-packaging small item CPG. Efforts improved the fulfillment accuracy by 70%, according to metrics between our warehouse and the client’s previous one.

  • Developed a custom API between a proprietary POS to our WMS. Collaborated with a Computer Science consultant to achieve a smooth transfer of information between this POS and our WMS.

Registrar/Office Manager

Focus Personal Training Institute
New York, NY

Being part of the successes of the Focus Personal Training company from 2016 - 2021 was a motivating progression in my early career. Being promoted from Student Intern to Trainer, Course Instructor and then Registrar, I enjoyed working with individuals who both wanted to better themselves as well as better their communities.

GREATEST SUCCESSES

  • Implemented and maintained a documentation system for academic progress for those students that required extra attention.

  • Developed a streamlined approach to student data recording to better align with NYSEB standards.

  • Contributed to the development of a new online platform designed to teach a traditionally in-person concept virtually.

  • Worked with several cohorts of 50+ students, leading them through each program and ensuring academic success.

NOTABLE CHALLENGES

  • Assisted in re-vamping the curriculum to include interactive, online-based teaching modes to best deliver the same quality of in-person education as response to the Pandemic.

  • Earned NYSEB Vocational teaching license to support cohorts and colleagues.

  • Performed a complete overhaul of the data entry and keeping systems of the company to better align with the updated requirements of the NYSEB during the Pandemic. Data was moved from paper- to digitally-kept record of all student data. These efforts awarded the company a “passed” audit by the Education Board the following year.

Common Comments

  • Approaching operations in an unconventional way has given me some interesting insight. Starting in the fitness industry, I was given the opportunity to form basic operational skills while also developing soft skills while working with people in the most vulnerable location: the gym. I’ve never seen myself as a professionally-forward person, which I think lends to my humble approach to problem solving and human-first take.

  • Oh, so many things. The beauty of operations is never knowing what the day may throw at you, despite your efforts to streamline processes.

    Here are a few:

    • AI utilization for aggregating disparate data and developing a final deliverable.

    • Project management from initiation to close in any industry.

    • Effective internal and external communication - keeping it friendly and efficient.

    • ERP management and implementation.

  • I dabbled with earning a degree in Biology. I loved the hands-on curiosity and attempt to explain the world around us with concrete evidence.

Ultimately, I went a different direction, leaning into my love of art and rhetoric.

But, come to think of it, I’m still doing what i loved about Biology: I get to work hands-on, breaking down complexities that shape our surroundings.

    That’s pretty cool.
